Regional Report for Sunshine Coast (6:55am Monday): A slight increase in swell overnight as the southerly swell starts to build. Depending on location and exposure to the swell wave height is in the knee to thigh high range, with the south facing swell magnets having more size, with little or no action in the southern pockets. Winds are currently out of the SW, with clean conditions across the beaches nearest to the north facing points and wind affected surf across the northern beaches from Coolum to Sunshine and along the Kawana stretch. High tide was at 5:53am.
Rest of Day Outlook: SE winds getting up to 10-15 knots developing through the day, with the afternoon incoming tide pushing in a bit more size, coupled with wind affected waves across the open beaches. Low Tide at 11:49am. The good new is that the southerly swell will continue to build over the next couple of days.
