Perth Regional Morning Report Friday 26th February: It is tiny this morning as well as hazy skies with a light texture on the sea surface. Swell has dropped away and leaving only trace little lines now under 1ft. The morning low clouds are making a mild wind with crumbly small wave faces so the conditions quite average. Tide was low at 5am and going to be high at 1pm.
Rest of Day Outlook: SW swell has dropped right out and it is minimal for surf across all the metro region. The old swell will tend small but we do have a new long period SW groundswell source coming in later. This long period deepwater swell will be inconsistent as it will refract away from the Perth area initially with 20+second sets at low range. By night we will see forerunners filling in so additional size of deepwater sets should fill in on the high tide tonight. Wind should remain light and tend calm midmorning before tend to SW seabreeze and strengthening later on for added texture in the afternoon. The tide is rising through the day, going to a high at 914pm.
