  • Swell analysis

A compact low just west of New Zealand delivers a consistent run of good-sized, mid-period SE and ESE swell to the entire NSW coast on Thursday and Friday.

Short-Term Analysis (through Saturday 28 November)

Friday: Mid-period ESE groundswell holds good size in the head high to a couple of feet overhead at the more exposed breaks in the morning, and slowly backs off during the day. Early choppy conditions gradually improve as moderate to fresh south to SSE winds quickly fade to light and variable mid-late morning, before going east then NE and freshening in the arvo.

Saturday: Consistent NE windswell builds steadily throughout the day, underpinned by stray sets from the south and ESE in the waist to chest-high range, superseded by NE windswell rising into the head-high range into the afternoon/ evening. Early NW to northerly winds tending NNE and freshen during the day.

Long Term Analysis (Sunday 29 November and beyond)
