  • Swell analysis

    Summary
Monday’s solid push in south swell marks an interim peak in surf in the near-term, ahead of a steady easing trend into the middle of the week. That should see another good to excellent morning of surf across the region on Tuesday as the tail end of Monday’s pulse trends SSE in direction and gradually subsides throughout the day.

Wednesday then looms as an interim low-point in wave-activity. A large, slow-moving high-pressure system drifting across the NSW interior exerts a temporary blocking effect in further south swell-potential. However, the high is widely projected to quickly weaken as it moves over the NSW coast on Tuesday; opening the door to a new frontal system shifting across Tasmania and Bass Strait later in the day.
