With only eight days remaining until the Billabong Girls Get Out There learn to surf tour kicks off at main beach Noosa, over 700 willing girls have already registered to take part in a day of sun, fun and safe surfing. Running throughout the September school holidays, the Girls Get Out There Days are an excellent way to have fun among friends and tackle the surf for the first time.

Visiting the new locations of Long Reef Sydney, Forster, Ulladulla, Phillip Island, Perth and Mount Maunganui New Zealand, the Girls Get Out There 2005 is run in conjunction with Australia's premier accredited surf schools. As well as the new locations, the GGOT will once again be stopping at Noosa, Currumbin Beach, Lennox Head, Terrigal, Cronulla and Torquay.

"We have been inundated with enquires and registrations again this year which came as no surprise to us following the sell-outs last year," said GGOT program coordinator Melissa Vitale. "I think the number of girls interested in getting involved in surfing is a result of the increasing number of girls in the water these days. Female surfing has come along way in five years and it isn't uncommon to see a number of girls in every surfing line up around Australia."

"Adding the new locations and sticking with the regional days we ran last year is about bringing a really relaxed and fun day to the younger girls in these regions who don't get to participate in days like this too often."

If you made it into one of the sell-out sessions last year, this years Girls Get Out There will follow the same format with a host of Billabong team riders, special guest celebrities, a beach party atmosphere, prize packs and music from Billabong's youngest chick rockers Alex Jackson and Ashley Mannix.

Along with that, the crew from MTV will be on the road documenting the GGOT for 2005, so you might just see your first attempt at riding a wave up in lights on the MTV music channel. You will also have the opportunity to see yourself ripping it up in the photo galleries on www.billabonggirls.com, and cruise through the Billabong Bus which will be at each location chocked full of goodies.

Positions in each GGOTD session costs $40 which includes as much beach fun as you can handle, an hour surf lesson with everything included, a pack full of goodies from our fantastic sponsors and loads more.
Entries are limited to 128 gidgets in each area so get in quick because you don't want to miss out.

Registrations for the Billabong Girls Get Out There are still available on www.billabonggirls.com, simply follow the prompts to the Girls Get Out There event link. Alternatively, registrations can be made by phoning Haylie at Billabong on 07 55 899 811.
