All my life I heard, oh girls can’t surf, girls can’t get barrelled, they can’t surf pipeline. Every time they would tell me I couldn’t do something, it would put a fire in me to prove them wrong.”
That's Keala Kennelly at the opening of She is the Ocean, the inspirational film coming out next week on VOD so that you and me and everyone we know can rent it in our own living rooms for a premiere screening.
The full length documentary explores the connection between feminity and the ocean through the stories of nine women and their connections to the sea, aged between 12 and 83, from all over the planet, including Coco Ho, Keala Kennelly, Jeannie Chesser, Andrea Moller as well as divers, marine biologists and more women with a profound love for the ocean
The digital premiere takes place on Thursday November 12 and will feature a live panel with the director Inna Blokhina and surfers Keala Kennelly and Andrea Moller.
