OVERVIEW
Currently we are seeing clean , glassy conditions across the Bukit peninsular today, Tuesday morning with surf ranging within the 2 to 4ft range. Building energy in long period SSW (206’) groundswell is expected to show inconsistent rising sets throughout the day. This reinforced pulse comes courtesy of an intense mid latitude low that shifted briefly throughout our SW swell winds over the past 48hrs. We should see more size into Wednesday morning as peak energy from this system makes land fall into the day.

A brief easing trend is then expected to take place into Thursday prior to a stronger overlapping pulse making landfall Friday, Saturday. Stemming from a deep polar low currently tracking south of the W.A coast. Initial early forerunners are expected to show inconsistent rising sets into Friday morning prior to bulk energy filling in throughout the afternoon and into Saturday. Clean conditions are expected to persist under a moderate ESE trade wind pattern. Following this the Indian Ocean remains active as we see scope for a reinforcing pulse in SW (220’) groundswell filling in Sunday, before a speculatively stronger reinforcing pulse next Monday.

LONG RANGE
Looking further ahead. As briefly mentioned above; mid to large SW groundswell energy is expected to peak next Monday, easing Tuesday morning before a minor overlap shows in the afternoon. Wave heights are then expected to ease off mid week, potentially bottoming out next Thursday 17/05. Beyond this we should see a minor rise in mid period SW swell show Friday, Saturday before several stronger overlapping SSW groundswells show from Sunday and into the following week. Check back for updates. Indonesian forecasts posted Tuesdays.
