The Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series of QS events taking place over this summer wrapped up its first event – the QS1000 Carve Pro in Maroubra NSW – over the weekend with Kobie Enright of Tweed Heads taking out the ladies' event in a final with 15-year-old Molly Picklum from the NSW Central Coast, while Shane Campbell from down the road at Cronulla winning out over Northern Beaches Harely Ross in the men's. Check the video above for all the action of the final day in smaller, but super fun beachies at Maroubra.
The result for Enright was one better than last year, after she finished second in the 2017 event to Macy Callaghan. Enright ended up finishing 2017 in 22nd on the QS. This was her maiden QS victory.
For Shane Campbell, the Carve Pro is a positive start to 2018 carrying some of the momentum from a solid 2017 that saw him make a QS3,000 final with CT requalifier Keanu Asing, losing by just 1.33 in a heat where Asing claimed a 10 and a 9.5 to take the win.
Event two of the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series will be the Morthernest Tweed Coast Pro, a QS1000 at Cabarita Beach from January 31 to February 4.
