Merewether wins the 2019 nudie Australian Boardriders Battle!

Did you park yourself in front of the tele Sunday afternoon and watch the final day of the Boardriders Battle play out? If you did, you were treated to what is growing into one of the best spectacles surfing as a sport has to offer. The Australian tag and team format, with local club pride on the line, represented by the surfing of some of the best and deepest talent in the country, it's enthralling vision.

In 2019 it was a shorhanded Merewether Surfboard Club who took the ultimate victory missing two of their key surfers in Ryan Callinan and Jackson Baker through injury. Led by club captain Jesse Adam and standout performer Phillipa Anderson. they atoned for last year's result when they finished runner up by the slimmest of margins.

Also in the final were North Shelley Boardriders Club who finished second, North Shore Boardriders who finished third and Snapper Rocks Surfriders Club who finished fourth.
